Setup guide

Live in five steps.

No code, and it works with every Shopify theme.

  1. Install TryOnTrend

Install from the Shopify App Store and choose a plan. Start on Free if you'd like to try it first; paid plans are approved in Shopify.

  2. Add the button to your theme

The setup guide opens your theme editor with the Virtual Try On block ready to place. Drag it under your buy buttons and save. Older themes: turn on the TryOnTrend app embed instead.

  3. Make it yours

In the block settings, change the button text, style, colors, size, corners and spacing, or let shoppers open try-on by tapping the product photo.

  4. Choose the products

In the app, under Products, keep it on every product or pick products and collections. Exclude anything that shouldn't have it.

  5. Try it yourself

Open a product page, tap Virtual Try On and see yourself in it. Then watch try-ons and orders arrive in Analytics.

Troubleshooting

Quick fixes.

The button doesn't show on my product page

Check that the Virtual Try On block is on your product template (or the app embed is on), that “Show try-on on my store” is on in the app, that the product isn't excluded under Products, and that the product has a photo. Theme changes can take a minute to appear.

The camera doesn't start

The shopper's browser needs camera permission for your store. On iPhone, Safari asks the first time; if it was denied, it can be re-enabled in Settings › Safari › Camera. The shopper can also upload a photo instead.

The try-on looks off for a product

Photo-real results depend on the product photo. Use a clear, front-facing photo of the garment, ideally on a plain background. Accessories and busy lifestyle photos work less well; you can exclude them under Products.

I don't see revenue after try-on

Orders count when they're placed within 14 days of a completed try-on in the same browser. It can take a few seconds for a new order to appear.
